The kitchen and breakfast room are the soul of the villa. The inevitable gathering of friends and family in the kitchen has guided the design. There is a gracious window seat, and plenty of room for a table seating six to eight. The kitchen is a true cook's paradise. The center island is covered by a rock maple butcher block. Beneath the butcher block, an ice maker, wine cooler, microwave, warming drawer, and small appliance storage are all ultra convenient yet out of sight. A Dacor range features 6 gas burners. The two ovens below are electric with gas broilers, all are self-cleaning. A water tap over the stove allows easy filling of pasta and soup pots. The wooden paneled refrigerator has a full-length freezer. Red birch cabinets, by Doug Meyer, feature extensive spice storage and drawers with lidded boxes for flour, sugar, and grains. Pullout shelves hold heavy pots. There is ample storage for wine glasses and multiple sets of dishes.

Breakfast room with window seat overlooks garden.
